Accommodations
Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel under the group code TWAE17A. To make use of this offer, reservations at the Penn Stater must be made before July 14th.
Note that EPRV III overlaps with Ag Progress Days at Penn State, which is one of the largest agricultural expositions in the state. As a result, other hotels and lodging options may be very expensive—or unavailable—the week of the conference. Please consider booking your accommodations early!
Other alternative accommodations include:
Nittany Lion Inn
Distance from Conference center: 2.9 miles (~7 minutes by car; ~20 minutes by bus). The conference center is easily accessible from the (free) Red Link bus from the bus station at Pattee Library just a few minutes walk away.
Days Inn State College
Distance from Conference center: 3.5 miles (~12 minutes by car; ~30 minutes by bus)
Air travel
Delta, United, and American Airlines serve the University Park Airport (State College PA, airport code SCE) located six miles from the conference site. Uber, Lyft, and local taxi services are available once you arrive. Car rental is available at the airport, although many hotels offer complimentary shuttle service (see below). Be sure your final destination airport code is SCE.
Given that the conference coincides with Ag Progress days, and that planes to SCE might be full, we do note that the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL; ~3 hours), Harrisburg International Airport (MDT; ~1.5 hours), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT; ~3 hours), LaGuardia Airport (LGA; ~4 hours), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR; ~4 hours), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK; ~4 hours), Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI; 3 hours), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD; ~3.5 hours), and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA; ~3.5 hours) are all within drivable distance from State College.
